400 East Randolph, Chicago, IL 60601

Some home owners at 400 E. Randolph are taking advantage of the lack of inventory for downtown Chicago condos for sale. Four units at 400 E. Randolph came on market during the past 10 days. All of the homes for sale are truly new listings. None has been on market since at least 2009.

A couple of days ago I reported that the inventory of downtown Chicago condos for sale in the 1st quarter was down 27% from last year. It’s down 57% from 2010.

Built in 1963 400 E. Randolph has 955 condos. At the time it was the world’s largest apartment building. Located just north of Millennium Park it’s a popular building for in-town units. Chicago’s Lakefront is one block east.

400 E. Randolph has a domed indoor pool, bike room, sauna, sundeck, exercise room, common laundry, party room, racquetball and basketball court. It also has a dry cleaner, hair salon, restaurant and bar, and a food mart. Parking is leased. Pets are ok.

All of the new 400 E. Randolph condos for sale have one bedroom and one bathroom. They range from 825 to 860 SF. All have west and/or north views and a balcony.
