THE LOCATION

452 W Huron St. is between Hudson and Kingsbury in the Near North Side. It’s 2 blocks south of Chicago Avenue. It’s less than 3 blocks from the north branch of the Chicago River.

The home is located in the northwest part of River North. It’s 3 blocks west of the fine dining restaurant graham elliot and 5 blocks southeast of Japonais. There’s a Whole Foods 8 blocks to the east.

It has a Walk Score of 95, a Transit Score of 92 and a Bike Score of 71. The neighborhood is flat and not heavily traveled.

THE LOT

452 W Huron sits on an oversized Chicago lot (35×109). There’s a double lot behind it which has not been developed yet. It doesn’t have a yard, but there’s a good size courtyard hidden from streetview, a terrace on the front of the home and a large rooftop terrace with city views.

THE MANSION

Like neighboring 468 W Huron which I wrote about in 2012 this too is a very vertical home. There are 6 levels including a basement, 4 above ground interior floors and the large rooftop terrace. All levels are connected by a large staircase in the center of the home and an elevator. Another stairway connects the interior, above ground levels.

452 W Huron has 10,000 SF with 6 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms and 1 half bathrooms. There’s an attached 3 car garage.

The main living area is on the second floor. The kitchen is open to the family room and the dining room overlooks the living room on the first floor. The master suite on the third floor has 2 huge walk-in closets.

The home which was built in 2010 has the exceptional finishes you would expect in a newer mansion. The courtyard in the center provides lots of light.
