The number of condos, townhouses and co-ops listed for sale in the Near North Side’s 60610 zip code reached another 2 year low on the last day of June. There were 647 such homes for sale down 45.6% from 842 at the end of June 2009. The previous 2 year low was in May.

As shown above, the number of condos, townhouses and co-ops for sale in 60610 has been dropping steadily since April 2010. Falling inventory is good for sellers since they are competing with fewer other homes for sale. However, it should be noted that the number of homes for sale in 60610 typically drops after spring and continues dropping until winter. So we should continue to see more new inventory lows through the rest of this year.
