In a few seconds you’ll receive a text message back with a link to the system. Bookmark it on your cell phone’s web browser and you’ll be able to lookup details on homes for sale whenever you like.
If your cell phone is GPS-enabled, the application can search for homes nearest your location. Otherwise, you can enter an address and the application will return the homes for sale nearest that location. You can also search by city, zip code and listing number. Searches can be refined by the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and within a price range. Searches can also be saved.

Handy app, but it would be better to just have it default to Illinois so there’s one less step in the search. Is that possible?
Listing numbers are links, but when I clicked on one my phone asked me if I wanted to dial it – strange behavior. The photos were better than I was expecting.

Our local multiple listing system also includes homes for sale in Wisconsin and Indiana, so a state does need to be selected.

It would be easier to read the descrptions if they weren’t in all caps, but this is addictive! I have to resist the urge to pull over and do a lookup every time I drive by a house for sale.

I know that it shows if there is an open house scheduled but does it provide a weekly alert for open houses?

You can receive a weekly email of upcoming open houses (for all brokers, not just Baird & Warner) by registering on Baird & Warner’s HomeFinder System and then saving one or more searches. Enjoy!
