Chicago’s Case-Shiller Index for July rose 2.7% from June. The increase from May to June was 4.6%. This is the 3rd month in a row that the index has risen.
The index is down 0.9% from July 2011. It’s back to its September 2001 level. The Case-Shiller Index for Chicago is based on resales of houses in the Chicago Metro Area. It’s published with a 2 month lag.
The Chicago Case-Shiller Condominium Index for July rose 2.3% from June. It rose 4.2% from May to June. The condo index is down 4.7% from July 2011. It’s back to its November 2000 level.
