Last week my partner, Mary Kaye, and I did a market analysis for a couple of friends of ours in Arlington Heights. They aren’t ready to sell yet, but wanted to get an idea of what their home might sell for, if they decide to relocate to Arizona.

Showings Today in Arlington Heights, Palatine and Schaumburg, IL

February 21, 2009

Today I showed houses in Arlington Heights, Palatine and Schaumburg. The homes for sale weren’t much out of the ordinary with the exception of a house in Palatine featuring a pool table in the dining room and mold in the basement. Needless to say, it’s not on my buyers’ short list!
Home sellers, please reconsider renting [...]

Messy Home For Sale in Arlington Heights

October 5, 2008

I feel bad for some listing agents. Some of their clients make it next to impossible to sell their homes. Such is the case for a house I showed yesterday in Arlington Heights.
Priced in the upper $600Ks, the 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bath home in a nice neighborhood looked great online. It had nice curb [...]

November 3, 2007

This week I had a closing for a listing near downtown Arlington Heights. As shown left, it’s a modest home, but it sold after only 2 showings “as-is” and with no home staging. How?
The buyer was a creative rehabber who saw how the 3 bedroom house could be expanded and upgraded to create a very [...]

Thursday I showed newer homes priced between $800K and $1 million in Evanston, Oak Park, Arlington Heights, and Glen Ellyn. My clients may be relocating from Santa Fe and wanted to see large, newer homes preferably with a large lot that can be fenced for their 3 dogs. They also want to keep their commute [...]

How can Zillow be so off?
Bad data? You can’t blame it on bad data which is sometimes the case on Zillow. [...]
