The Daily Herald reported on Sunday that Centex Corporation was recently named most admired home builder by Fortune magazine. Fortune ranked Centex #1 among home builders for: people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, and quality of products/services.
I’ve taken buyers to Centex’s Copper Springs new home development in Elgin a couple of times. One couple liked one of the ranch models very much, but decided Elgin was too far from the city for them. The other couple also really liked the same model. However, they needed a home within 2 months and Centex couldn’t have a new home of that model ready that soon.
