Three bedroom condos in Chicago were the only condos to see an increase in both average sale price and median sale price when comparing 2nd quarter 2010 to 2nd quarter 2009. The average sale price for a 3 bedroom condo in Chicago in the 2nd quarter was $488,000, up over 7%. The median sale price was $420,000, up almost 4%.

Studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom condos saw declines for both average and median prices in the 2nd quarter. Condos with 4 or more bedrooms saw lower average prices, but slightly higher median prices.
