The Chicago Case-Shiller Index for September rose for the 5th straight month! Seasonally adjusted, the September index rose 1.1% from the August index. The index is down 4.8% for 2009 and 10.7% from a year earlier. The index is based on resales of houses in the Chicago Metro Area.
Chicago Case-Shiller Indices January 2000 - September 2009
The Chicago Case-Shiller Condominium Index for September dropped 0.5% from August. The condo index is down 6.6% since the start of the year and down 10% from September 2008.
