Chicago’s lakefront condos are popular with their lake views and proximity to Chicago’s lakefront. Finding which ones are for sale isn’t always an easy task. Using this article will help you drastically reduce the time needed to find Chicago lakefront condos for sale.
Chicago’s multiple listing system lets sellers’ agents specify if the lot for a condo is lakefront. However, the majority of the time the sellers’ agents don’t specify that when their listing is on the lake. Thus, there’s no easy way to search for just Chicago lakefront condos for sale.

Then there’s the challenge of defining exactly what lakefront means. There are some condos that are truly on Lake Michigan with direct beach access. Condos along Lake Shore Drive with the exception of Lake Point Tower are across the street from Chicago’s lakefront. Most of their owners would say that they have a lakefront condo even though the condos aren’t actually on the lake. For our purposes we’ll consider these lakefront condos.
