All the condos have floor to ceiling windows, hardwood floors throughout and a washer and dryer. Kitchens have Snaidero cabinetry and a Sub-Zero refrigerator. They also have a Miele stainless steel gas cooktop and Wolf wall oven. Countertops are granite with full height backsplashes and granite shelves.
Master bathrooms have limestone or marble walls and floors. They also have Kohler fixtures and granite or marble countertops. Closets have lights that go on automatically when opened. The condos are also pre-wired for telephone, cable and high-speed Internet services. Most units larger than 1 bedroom have a fireplace.
HOTEL CONDOS VS. RESIDENTIAL CONDOS
There are two types of Trump Tower Chicago condos – residential and hotel. Trump Tower is one of only 2 hotels in Chicago offering condo hotel units that owners can have the hotel rent out for them when they aren’t using them. Only select units are condo hotel units. The majority of the condos cannot be rented out on a short term basis.
It’s easy to identify which condos are which. The unit numbers for hotel units are all numbers. The unit numbers for residential units are the floor number followed by a letter.
Residential studios have from 580 to 713 square feet. One bedroom condos have 920 to 1,315 square feet. Two bedroom condos have 1,562 to 2,746 square feet. Hotel studios have 530 to 907 square feet. Hotel one bedroom condos have 1,220 to 1,663 square feet. Hotel two bedroom condos have 2,032 to 2,245 square feet.
Residential condos have more expansive views than the hotel condos since they are on floors 29 to 89. The hotel condos are on floors 17 to 27.
Because hotel condo units are often occupied by paying guests it is very difficult to schedule showings! Your best chances are on a Monday or Tuesday in the early afternoon between the time the unit has been cleaned and the next guest has checked in.
Built in 2009 Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago has 96 stories with 486 condos on floors 29 through 89 above the hotel portion of the building. It’s the tallest residential building in Chicago and the second tallest in the United States. Please note that the building is called Trump Tower Chicago, not Trump Towers Chicago.
