Today’s Chicago Tribune included a list of the 10 most walkable neighborhoods in Chicago according to Walkscore.com.

The list caught my attention since I like to walk, but also because some buyers I’m working with wrote me, “A sense of being in a city neighborhood – where we can walk to great food markets, restaurants, and regular, everyday service places – is very important to us.”

Here are the 10 most walkable Chicago neighborhoods as determined by Walkscore.com based on distances to various amenities.

1. Loop 2. Near North Side 3. Lincoln Park 4. Lakeview 5. Uptown
6. Edgewater 7. Near South Side 8. Rogers Park 9. West Town 10. Hyde Park
