Today I searched for 2 bedroom condos in the Loop, Near North Side, Near West Side and Near South Side for a Microsoft employee relocating here from Seattle. Loving lots of light in her home, she has a strong preference for a corner unit. So when I started searching for her last week, I specified a corner unit (technically “end unit” in MLSNI1) as part of the search criteria. Today I was looking at other condos in the buildings she picked from last week’s search to see if there was anything else worth looking at while we were in each building.
Via photos and remarks I found several other corner units which didn’t come up in my initial search since the listing agents hadn’t noted “end unit” as a unit feature.
A corner unit location is a valuable feature for a condo! If nothing else, it gives homeowners views in 2 directions. Sellers, if your listing agent isn’t noting that as a unit feature, you may be missing showings!
1MLSNI stands for Multiple Listing System of Northern Illinois
