Inventory of Edgewater Houses For Sale
An elevated inventory of houses for sale in Chicago’s Edgewater area is putting pressure on sale prices while a lower inventory of condos for sale is keeping condo sale prices fairly stable. As shown in the chart above, there are more houses for sale in Edgewater this year than last year.* At the end of October there were 55 houses in Edgewater for sale. The average over the past 2 years has been 49.
On the other hand, the number of condos for sale is down from last year. As shown in the chart below, there were 711 condos for sale at the end of October well below the 2 year average of 754.
