Elf

While driving to Waukegan this morning to show homes to a couple of first time buyers, I was listening to National Public Radio’s (NPR’s) “Wait, Wait..Don’t tell me!” program which took a look back at the weirdest headlines of 2005. I learned that I had missed, perhaps the strangest real estate story of 2005.

Real estate developments in Iceland are being delayed while officials wait for permission from elves! Apparently, lots of folks in Iceland believe in elves. Real estate developers have had to get “elf permission” and in some cases have hired “elf arbitrators”. Do a search in Google for elves, iceland and construction and you’ll find plenty more details. :)
