Hi Scott,

I'm glad you enjoy my blog!

Thank you so much for letting me know about the lack of a trademark on "home staging". I believed what I was told in my HomeStaging.Com training. I just checked the trademarks database and you are correct! Shame on them!

Hi Barb,

I've enjoyed reading your website and blog. I am a home stager in Rochester, NY.

FYI, home staging is not a registered trademark. Barb Schwartz has tried to intimidate Realtors and others in the industry into thinking she owns a trademark. She has a trademark on the word "stage" for published videos related to education in real estate. Other forms of the word are not covered by this trademark. Home staging is a generic term, and can be used freely.

Take care!
