Most of the condos are in the tower portion of the building. A smaller number are lofts are on the south side of the top parking levels.

Condos on the 9th floor and a couple on the 10th floor have large terraces and high ceilings. Fairbanks at Cityfront Plaza penthouses are on floors 28 to 31. A few penthouses on the 28th floor also have large terraces that are partially covered.

The Fairbanks at Cityfront Plaza is located 3 blocks west of Chicago’s lakefront and Navy Pier and one block west of the AMC River East 21 Theaters. It’s two blocks east of Michigan Avenue at 240 E Illinois (upper). It’s in the Streeterville neighborhood of downtown Chicago. Since it’s at the east end of the upper level of Illinois Street there’s much less traffic than on lower Illinois which leads to Navy Pier.

In 2015 there will be a Whole Foods directly below the building. A Walgreens Pharmacy is a block east. The Northwestern Memorial Hospital Campus is just a few blocks away.

The #124 Navy Pier bus has stops right on the corner. Several other bus routes have stops 2 blocks away on Michigan Avenue.
