Each room in a home for sale should have a clear identity. If not, it makes it harder for buyers to imagine how they would use the rooms. Just one item such as the scale in the dining room of a house I showed in Glen Ellyn shown left can make buyers wonder about a room, besides being highly distracting! Of course the single pink shoe in front of the scale doesn’t help either!
Don’t make it easy for buyers to rule out your home and remember it as “the house with the scale in the dining room” (or some other odd combination).
While having a scale in the dining room may be highly effective for weight loss, it certainly isn’t helping the owners lose this house! ![]()
