Inventory of Lakeview condos for sale March 2008 to March 2010

The number of condos for sale in Lakeview hit a 2 year high in March. Condo sellers jumped into the market hoping to find buyers motivated to sign a contract by April 30th to qualifiy for a tax credit. As shown below, there were almost 1,700 Lakeview condos for sale in March which was 24% more than in March 2009 and well above the 2 year average of 1,382.

I had a client sign a contract to buy a condo in Lakeview last week even though he doesn’t qualify for a tax credit. He found a condo that he really liked which is as good a reason as any to buy!

Down here in Orlando we’ve had a similar jump in condos. Many in our market were purchased as investments to be utilized as rentals. Also there were several bulk purchases of condo towers that were purchased at auction that kicked our numbers up.
