Many Home Buyers Expect Market to Improve with New President

44% of all home buyers believe the housing market will improve once the new President takes office in January, 2009 according to a recent survey for Move, Inc. by Harris International. Move, Inc. runs Realtor.com.
The survey also revealed that 80% of all renters plan to purchase a home someday with 47% planning to purchase a home within the next 5 years.
The most common reason given for buying a home was for space-related reasons (26%).

Americans want to forget the last 8 years. I’m not blaming the current president, but it’s been pretty bad and the county really needs a fresh start. It’s interesting when a vague thing like “hope” or “change” really dose matter. Markets are affected by “confidence”…”Hope” and “confidence” are pretty close.
