3 of the condos I showed my buyer on Saturday were at Randolph Place, the building shown left. Located at 165 N. Canal, the building is just north of and across the street from the Ogilvie Transportation Center. It’s also very near where the Chicago River branches north and south. Being on the west side of the river and north of Madison puts it in the Fulton River District.
My buyer and I looked at condos on the east side of the building which all had great views of the city and the Chicago River. One of the best features of the condos is that they have generous bonus rooms for storage. Most are within the units, but some have separate bonus rooms. We agreed that the hallways are a bit dark, but overall, it’s a nice building. It has a good size exercise room.
Originally a warehouse, the building was built in 1917 by Daniel Burnham. It was converted to loft-style condos in the late 1990s. For information on its association visit RandlolphPlace.Com.
