Some buyers and I have visited a large house for sale in Rogers Park a couple of times recently. It’s one of the few homes in Rogers Park with 5 or more bedrooms.
Of the 21 Rogers Park houses that sold in the past year only 3 of them had 5 or more bedrooms. The median sale price was $584,000. Only 2 such homes sold the year before.
Currently, there are 7 such homes on the market ranging in price from $329,000 to $1,345,000. The home selling at $329,000 needs work is basically selling for the value of the land. The home for $1,345,000 is a lovely 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with in-ground pool next to Hartigan Beach Park on Lake Michigan!
