The first ever Streeterville Stroll was part of Chicago’s broker tour on Tuesday. Ten Realtors with listings in vintage buildings on the 200 East blocks of Delaware and Walton participated. I toured all 10 condos and co-ops.

All built before 1930, most of these buildings have no parking. Many residents lease garage space at 910 North Lake Shore Drive which is less than a block away.

Part 1 of this blog post has the 5 condos and co-ops  on the 200 East block of Delaware that were part of the Streeterville Stroll. Part 2 will include the other 5 homes that are on the 200 East block of Walton.

How does space pac differ from central air? BTW, love the phone photo!

Hi Theresa,

Great question! Space pac (as it’s specified in the multiple listing system) or SpacePak® (the brand) is a type of central air conditioning that doesn’t require the large air ducts found in most newer homes. It uses much smaller air ducts. It’s a great way to add central air conditioning to a vintage home that doesn’t have the air ducts provided by more modern gas, forced air heating systems. If you see rooms with 3 small round holes near the top of the wall in one wall per room, you’re probably in a home using SpacePak®.

Glad you like the photo of the old telephone! I was captivated by it the moment I saw it!
