Turn the Music Off When Viewing a Home

Friday I showed houses in Elmhurst, Oak Park and the Galewood Neighborhood of Chicago to a gentleman. When we entered one of the houses in Elmhurst, I noticed a radio playing.

I’ve shown homes before when music was playing in the background, but a minute later it occurred to me why music was playing in this vacant house. It wasn’t just for ambiance. The house was on a side street, but on a corner with North Avenue, a very busy street. The music distracts buyers from the sound of the cars on North.

I turned the radio off so my buyer could hear the sound of the cars driving by.
