I started working with a gentleman relocating here for a job that will have him working in both the Loop and Elgin. As such, he’d like to live within walking distance of the Metra Milwaukee District West Line which runs between the Loop and Elgin. He also wants to live within walking distance of a grocery store and interesting shops and restaurants. One of the Chicago neighborhoods I suggested is the Ukrainian Village in the West Town area of Chicago.
As outlined in red on the map below, its north and south borders are Division and Chicago. Its east and west borders are Damen and Western.
You can also see that the Ukrainian Village is within walking distance of the Metra Milwaukee District West Line Western Ave. Station and Division Ave. on the south border of Wicker Park Division Ave. in Wicker Park has numerous interesting shops and restaurants.
There’s also a Dominick’s Grocery Store on Chicago Ave. in the Ukrainian Village.
