Last week a couple and I checked out condos in the University Village Neighborhood in the Near West Side area of Chicago. There seems to be a lot of disagreement on the neighborhood’s borders. Some real estate websites describe the borders as Monroe and Roosevelt on the north and south with Halsted and Western on the east and west. Other real estate websites define it as a much smaller area with Harrison and Roosevelt on the north and south and Halsted and Ashland on the east and west. I prefer an official source whenever possible, so I looked at the City of Chicago’s Interactive Map which as shown below sets the University Village Neighborhood Boundaries as the Eisenhower Expressway and 16th as the north and south boundaries with Halsted and Ashland as the east and west boundaries.
