This morning I received an e-mail from a friend with a touching essay titled, “The Paradox of Our Time”, by George Carlin. I enjoyed reading the piece and thought about posting it here to share with you. However, since it was written by someone else, I thought I would verify it first. I’m glad I did!
It turns out that George Carlin did not write the essay. You can read his comments regarding the essay on his website.
This was a good reminder for me of the need to verify information. Not everything in print is true, especially on the Internet. Both home buyers and home sellers need to verify the information provided by the other. A good REALTOR® can help in that process by advising clients on what questions to ask, how to ask them and when to ask them.
If you would like to read the essay and thoughts on who did write it, visit snopes.com, a website about urban legends.
