This morning I looked at the listing for a house in Lakeview that clients said they were interested in. Priced at just under $800K, it’s gorgeous as one would expect. However, I noticed that out of 9 photos, not one showed a bathroom. I also noticed that the house has 2 1/2 bathrooms with a bathroom in the basement. The only other thing mentioned about the bathrooms was that the master bathroom was shared. This got me to wondering if the basement bathroom was a full bath which would mean that the house only has 1 1/2 bathrooms above ground.
Since the home needs to accommodate a family of 4 and with all 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, I called the listing agent for more details. As I suspected the bathroom in the basement is a full bathroom. That makes the shared master bathroom on the 2nd floor the only bathroom for all 3 bedrooms. In addition, the bathroom only has one sink. This home isn’t going to work for my buyers.
When looking at homes online there’s a lot of information to process. It’s easy to get caught up with what’s shown. It also helps to notice what isn’t.
