Last week I toured the mansion for sale at 468 W Huron in Chicago’s River North Neighborhood. Like neighboring 461 W Superior which I wrote about last month this too is a fairly vertical home.
There are 6 levels including a basement, 4 above ground interior floors and a large rooftop terrace with city views. All levels are connected by a large curved staircase in the center of the home, a spiral staircase hidden except on the basement level, and an elevator.
468 W Huron has 10,000 SF with 6 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms. There’s an attached 3 car garage.
The home can accommodate large scale entertaining. In addition to a full size kitchen with double sinks and ovens, it has an additional catering kitchen and bar that seats 6.
468 W Huron doesn’t have a yard, but there are 3 outdoor spaces. In addition to the large rooftop terrace there are 2 terraces on the north (back) side of the home.
The mansion is located in the northwest part of River North. It’s 4 blocks west of the fine dining restaurant graham elliot and 4 blocks southeast of Japonais.
