THE CONDOS

There are 1 and 2 bedroom units. There are 4 basic floor plans and all with large sized angled bay windows. All units have hardwood flooring in the main living area. Most of the north units will have some lake views and so will the south facing if on a high enough floor.

THE BUILDING

525 W Hawthorne Place was built in 1969 and houses 233 condos within its 30 stories. The building has 24-hour door persons, on-site maintenance staff. It also has great amenities such as an outdoor pool and large sundeck area with grills, tables and chaise lounges which allow for plenty of socializing. Plus a workout center that overlooks the pool area. The building is also equipped with convenient vending machines, ATM and an on-site cleaners. The building is designed with 8 units per floor. Each floor shares 2 passenger elevators and one service elevator and extra storage on each floor.

Pets up to 75 lbs. are allowed in the building. There is a $200 annual pet fee.

There are 145 parking spaces many in tandem and deeded independently of the condominium. However, they may only be leased to building residents.

This is not a good building for new investors since there is a rental cap in place on the building. There is a waiting list to rent a unit out. An owner must live in the unit for a year before renting it out.
