The Ambassador apartments have a condominium form of ownership. There are almost exclusively 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units.
Two bedroom condos have 2,058 to 2,888 square feet of space. Three bedroom condos have 2,872 to 6,800 square feet. Four bedroom condos have 3,900 to 5,900 square feet.
Cooking appliances are gas. All of the condos have balconies. Only 2 have large terraces. Duplex penthouses are on the 12th floor.

THE BUILDING
The Ambassador was built in 1924 at 1300 North State Parkway. It was formerly the Ambassador West Hotel. Since 2004 the vintage high-rise houses 37 luxury condos within its 12 stories. It has an exercise room, bike room, party room and sun deck. Pets are ok.
Parking is owned and deeded in the building which is not common for vintage buildings in Chicago. Thus, each parking space has it’s own monthly assessment and annual property taxes.
Utilities included in the monthly assessments include: gas and water. The Ambassador should not be confused with Ambassador House, a mid-century condo across the street and one door north.
THE LOCATION
1300 N State Pkwy is located in Chicago’s Gold Coast on the northwest corner of State and Goethe. It’s across the street from the Public Chicago Hotel (formerly the Ambassador East Hotel) and its famous Pump Room. It’s just 2 blocks west of Chicago’s Lakefront and 4 blocks south of Lincoln Park.
