BUILDINGS SIMILAR TO TRUMP TOWER CHICAGO
Trump Tower Chicago real estate has appreciated even during the economic downtown. In August 2014 a sale set a record price per square foot price of $1,012 per square foot.
Apartments with a condo form of ownership range from 580 SF studios to the 14,260 SF top floor penthouse. Most units have 10 ft. ceilings. Penthouses have 12 ft. to 16 ft. ceilings. Trump Tower Chicago prices range from just over $300K to over $30M.
Penthouses are on floors 86 to 89. Penthouses on the 87th and 88th floors are half floor. The top, full floor penthouse on the 89th floor is the highest residence in Chicago, even higher than units at the John Hancock Center.

HOTEL CONDOS VS. RESIDENTIAL CONDOS
There are two types of condos – residential and hotel. Trump Tower Chicago is one of only 2 hotels in the Chicago offering condo hotel units that owners can have the hotel rent out for them when they aren’t using them. Only select units are condo hotel units. The majority of the condos cannot be rented out on a short term basis.
It’s easy to identify which condos are which. The unit numbers for hotel units are all numbers. The unit numbers for residential units are the floor number followed by a letter.
Residential condos have more expansive views to the hotel condos since they are on floors 29 to 89. The hotel condos are on floors 17 to 27.
Because hotel condo units are often occupied by paying guests it is very difficult to schedule showings! Your best chances are on a Monday or Tuesday in the early afternoon between the time the unit has been cleaned and the next guest has checked in.
