The inventory of listed Chicago 2 bedroom condos for sale continues to drop. There were 5,948 2 bedroom condos for sale in Chicago in the second quarter down 17% from second quarter 2012 when there were 7,162 2 bedroom condos for sale.
The inventory of listed Chicago 2 bedroom condos for sale continues to plummet. There were 5,219 2 bedroom condos for sale in Chicago in the first quarter down 27.6% from first quarter 2012 when there were 7,212 2 bedroom condos for sale.
Two bedroom condos for sale in River North make-up roughly 45% of the total condo inventory. River North buildings with lots of 2 bedroom condos for sale include 55 E Erie, 100 E Huron & Trump Tower Chicago.
The number of listed Chicago 2 bedroom condos sold in August was up 36.6% from August 2011. 702 such condos sold setting a 2 year high. The median sale price was up 3.2% at $258,000.
In the past 2 weeks 5 of the 24 two bedroom condos in the 60611 zip code that came on market were at Lake Point Tower – 505 N Lake Shore Drive in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. As of this morning there are now 14 two bedroom condos for sale at 505 N Lake Shore Drive.
