The inventory of homes for sale in Chicago’s River North neighborhood in September was down 50% from September 2008. The number of homes listed for sale priced $379,900 or higher in River North dropped more than 50%

The number for condos for sale in the Loop on the last day of August reached a new 2 year low, down even lower than in January when the number of properties for sale is often at its lowest for the year. There were 472 condos for sale in the Loop on August 31st compared to 566 on January 31st.

The number for condos (and co-ops) for sale in Lakeview in August was down 24.1% from August 2010. There were 1,204 condos for sale compared to 1,586 a year ago.
