The inventory of listed downtown Chicago condos for sale continues to drop. There were 2,666 condos for sale in downtown Chicago in the second quarter down 14.6% from second quarter 2012 when there were 3,123 condos for sale.
I often get requests from second home buyers for a downtown Chicago condo that they can rent out for a week or month when they aren’t using it. Such short term rentals are prohibited by traditional high-rise condo associations…The option for such buyers are Chicago’s condo hotels.
