Here are all the condos I’ve written about that are near the new Whole Foods in Streeterville in downtown Chicago. Located at the southwest corner of Grand and Columbus (255 E Grand) Whole Foods is the largest grocery store in Streeterville.

The Streeterville Whole Foods includes a bakery, deli, floral, liquor, meat, produce, cheese, seafood and water departments. You can also find products for your pets, body and home. Many seeds, nuts, flours, grains, rice, peas, lentils and beans can be purchased in bulk.

If you don’t feel like utilizing your condo’s kitchen, the Whole Foods has a ramen bar, salad bar, sandwich bar, focaccia pizza station, raw bar and olive bar. If you’re thirsty, there’s a coffee & wine bar, juice & smoothie bar and a bar with 12 craft beers on tap.

Whole Foods is a welcome addition to Streeterville. The location was vacant for over a year after the Dominick’s Grocery Store closed in December of 2013. During that time many Streeterville residents shopped for groceries at the Mariano’s in Lakeshore East or the Jewel in River North.

The store is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. everyday. It’s efficiently organized with several check-out stations and numerous express check-out stations. If you live at the Fairbanks at Cityfront Plaza Condos which are above the Whole Foods, you can pick up that forgotten ingredient and be back at your stove in less than 10 minutes!
